Court Development Update
The Nevada State Court has been busy visiting women of faith at St. Christopher Catholic Church for the last few months. Pastor Father Gene Kinney is the force behind the push to establish a new Catholic Daughters court in his North Las Vegas parish. The Membership Drive Recruitment Kit, CDA info flyers and activities established Nevada courts are engaged in are a few of the tools the officers present to the group of women interested in becoming Catholic Daughters. Q&A sessions were held in the last two months with great exchanges of advice and ideas from women active in their local courts. Our next meeting is scheduled for August 24th. For more details for starting a new court, please email Leonie Frisbee, Nevada State Regent, at email@example.com or Eileen Quinn, Nevada State Membership Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA)
Both of the Nevada JCDA courts were officially instituted during prior Day of Recollection Lenten Retreats. Any Catholic girl between the ages of 6 and 17 who would love to meet new friends and enjoy fun activities related to the Catholic faith and to serve God can join the JCDA. The purpose of JCDA is to develop a stronger faith and spiritual growth, to encourage praying the rosary, to learn the compassion of our Blessed Mother, to promote personal growth through creative projects, to visit resident homes during the holiday and to participate in events benefiting local charities.
